Some friends get together after twenty years.  The reunion was planned while they were still in high school. Seeing one another again becames a sort of summing up of their lives, a confrontation between those who made something of themselves and those who were less fortunate. A disagreable event - the sudden disappearance of a necklace - releases a slew of pent up resentments and confilcting emotions.
