Nora is a woman of around sixty
who lives alone and has no family. To keep her company,
she’s become
a passionate viewer of the soap operas she watches on
television to the point where she identifies with the
characters in the stories. She shares their emotions,
their hopes and disappointments.
In
spite of her age, she begins an affair with a young man
whose wife has just left him. The couple had only
recently moved in next door to her. The play tackles one of the aspects of loneliness
- the escape into one’s own mind which can become a
prison.A surprising finale will reveal unexpected dimensions.
